Bacolod City is set to improve its public plaza and the fountain at the Government Center this year with P300 million from TIEZA. The project will include upgrades to the plaza's fountains, restrooms, and trees, while the BCGC fountain will get lights, music, and a draining system. This aims to beautify the city and make the fountains more functional.

Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (Tieza) general manager Mark Lapid said Sunday, April 7, that the proposed improvement of the fountain at the Bacolod Government Center and construction of a fountain inside the Bacolod City public plaza are “technically approved.”
