High school students in Valley Center learned about the dangers of driving under the influence. But they didn’t just hear from first responders- they heard the first hand experience.

Three lanes of eastbound SR-78 east of College Boulevard were shut down shortly before 10 a.m. as crews worked to repair a large pothole; lanes reopened around 1:45 p.m.

Two people were ejected in the crash, which involved three cars around 5:45 a.m. on north Interstate 805 north of Beyer Boulevard in San Ysidro

All northbound lanes were closed just south of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard after the fatal collision, which was reported shortly before 4:40 a.m.

A person is dead Monday morning after being hit by multiple cars on I-805 North near Clairemont Mesa Blvd.

The accident was first reported at 5:13 a.m. on the highway. Somehow, the pedestrian "wandered out into the lanes," said CHP Officer Mark Latulippe.

Four people were injured, three of them seriously, in a head-on collision on state Route 78 near the community of Ramona Wednesday.

The male red tabby, believed to be around 10 weeks old, was taken to a Coronado animal shelter and will be put up for adoption in three days if he isn't claimed by an owner
