An extremely rare white leucistic alligator has been born at a Florida reptile park. The 19.2-inch (49 cm) female slithered out of its shell and into the history books as one of a few known leucistic alligators, Gatorland Orlando said Thursday.

The baby gator is one of just eight known leucistic alligators in the world, according to Gatorland, the park where it was born.

The little gator has Leucism, a condition that causes all-white coloring. Gatorland, the park where she was born, is searching for a suitable name.
