Austin's Soros-backed district attorney is facing heat after a man who allegedly killed 2 people while driving drunk was released on bond after his charges were downgraded.

A man who committed his seventh DUI, and is charged as involved in the death of two people, has been released after his charges and bond were reduced, sparking outrage against Jose Garza, the Soros-funded district attorney overseeing Travis County, Texas.

Two families are frustrated with the justice system in Travis County. The man they said was drinking, driving, and who killed their children is out on bond. The same man, Roberto Rangel, has been charged with six DWI’s in the past.

Austin police have arrested a man charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter after a wreck in South Austin that killed two people. Arrest records show he had six previous convictions for DWI.

Overall, 2022 has been a near-record year for traffic fatalities. In Austin, there have been 110 deadly crashes and 116 fatalities, essentially tied with 2021.
