The Laguna Beach City Council has decided to host a drone show, instead of a fireworks display, on Independence Day.

There will be about 300 drones that will fly through the sky at Heisler Park creating various designs and shapes.

Dave Kiff will begin working as the city manager of Laguna Beach on May 6. The former resident previously served as city manager in Newport Beach.

The housing and human services committee would provide oversight on a proposal to facilitate the establishment of a community land trust to address artist live-work space demand in town.

Who deserves a fair trial? I was surprised to read an opinion by Jeff Sebo in the Los Angeles Times, Oct. 23 edition that posited that elephants deserve a fair trial to determine how they would live out their lives in captivity.
