Larimer County Commissioners approved a five year strategic plan at their administrative matters meeting Tuesday morning, a process that gives direction to the larger county operation.

About 1,935 Larimer County locations will be served by $14 million in grants from Colorado.

Larimer County will use $14 million in grants to extend broadband internet services to 1,935 locations in the county.

In partnership with Fort Collins Connexion and Pulse Fiber Internet, the Larimer County community has been awarded $14 million in grant awards.

Larimer County Commissioners met with county technology officials Monday to discuss artificial intelligence, the benefits it can provide to the county and the risks involved.

The money will go to governments, libraries, workforce centers and others to expand fiberoptic broadband, provide affordable access and train workers.
