The St. Joseph Stockyards has been sold by Mark Servaes, who has been the owner since 2012. He has been connected to the St. Joseph Stockyards since 1991, first as a worker, then as a manager and then the owner. It was previously owned by the Canal Capital Corporation since 1963.
