The Portage Police Department gave out service awards to community members and Police Officers for their effort and commitment in 2023, at the Police Department s award ceremony on Jan. 24.
State Assembly Rep. Jon Plumer, of Lodi, recognized two members of the Columbia County Sheriff s Office as First Responders of the Year from the State Assembly floor on Oct. 17.
In addition to awarding the three first responders, the State Assembly passed a resolution recognizing Oct. 17, 2023 as First Responders Appreciation Day in Wisconsin.
