The Michigan Court of Appeals has granted the Ottawa County Board the right to appeal a lower courts ruling — in part — in a months-long lawsuit filed by the countys health officer.

A chief judge’s refusal to pay a bonus that a retired court clerk claimed was owed has been upheld by the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Arguments in a pair of cases concerning expert witness qualifications will be heard by the Michigan Supreme Court again. The parties have been directed to brief several issues.
