Republicans held a New Hampshire House of Representatives seat in Derry on Tuesday with a lopsided win by businesswoman and party activist Jodi Nelson over Democratic former state Rep. Mary Eisner.

Businesswoman and Republican activist Jodi Nelson easily won a GOP primary for an open New Hampshire House seat in Derry on Tuesday, defeating two opponents following a sometimes contentious campaign.

Special general election is December 7. The vacancy occurred when Republican Anne Copp resigned in August.

A Republican primary in a NH House special election in Derry has prompted charges that are under review by the attorney general’s office.
