Huawei Technologies held a product launch event, where it unveiled its new tablet called the MatePad Pro 13.2 and announced the roll-out of a new ultra high-end brand called Ultimate Design, which includes a Mate 60 RS smartphone and a watch. While details about the Mate 60 smartphone series were not discussed, users and analysts have praised the Mate 60 Pro for its Chinese-made chip and 5G capabilities.

The company expects new smartphone shipments for 2023 to reach at least 40 million units, the report said.
