Union members from the Cincinnati Fire Department's Fire Training Bureau, Fire Recruit Class 122 and others gathered at Memorial Park on Central Avenue to clean and restore it.

Breitfelder told council members the department currently has 834 firefighters but is authorized to have 859. The department could also lose about 200 firefighters at any time to retirement.
