Piaggio has launched the Aprilia SXR 125 scooter in India at a price of Rs. 1,14,994/- (ex-showroom, Pune). The scooter can be booked for an amount of Rs. 5,000/- across all Aprilia dealerships in India and the company’s website.
The Aprilia SXR 125 is powered by a 124.45cc, a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine, that produces 9.39 BHP @ 7,600 rpm and 9.2 Nm @ 6,250 rpm. The scooter comes with a 12V, 5.0 Ah MF battery and a fuel capacity of 7 litres.
Stopping power comes from a 220 mm ventilated disk brake with a twin pot calliper at the front and a 140 mm drum brake at the rear. The scooter is equipped with a Combi Braking System.

The Aprilia India website has prices for the SXR 125 listed in the booking section. The upcoming scooter has been priced at Rs 1,14,994 (ex-showroom, Pune) and Rs 1,16,358 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Powering the SXR 125 is the same engine that you get in the SR 125. While it makes 9.9hp and 9.7Nm on the SR, it puts out 9.5hp and 9.2Nm on the SXR. It also gets the wide 120/70-12 tyres and 7 litre fuel tank capacity like the SXR 160.

Features like all-LED lights, USB charging port, digital instrument cluster and the optional Bluetooth connectivity are also available on the lower-capacity SXR model. However, since this is a 125cc scooter, it only gets CBS or Combined braking system instead of ABS. Aprilia’s SXR 125 will be available in four colours- Matt Black, Glossy White, Matt Blue and Glossy Red. These are the same as the ones available
