SPOKANE — As new freshmen move into dorms in the coming weeks, with orientations and tear-filled family goodbyes, there will be more women than men on campus.

A handbook designed to help parents become advisors and coaches to their adult children leaving for their first year of college has been shown to increase family connections and decrease risky behaviors like drug and alcohol use.

After five years of helping students engage with learning opportunities and bringing instructors together to infuse new innovations into their classes, TCI is taking significant steps to continue enhancing its offerings.
