Page 43 - Matt Eberflu News Today

Other than a future Hall of Famer at QB, six straight division titles and an excellent chance to win another Super Bowl, what do the Chiefs have that the Bears don’t?

One undrafted cornerback and one aging NFL linebacker have stood up among the players who have surprised when the Chicago Bears needed help without Roquan Smith available to lead the defense.

The Bears sent Teven Jenkins out to the media to face all the questions they refused to answer over the past week. He deserved better.

Only one team in the NFL blitzed less often than the Bears in every one of the previous four seasons: Matt Eberflus’ Colts. While the head coach won’t be calling the Bears’ defense, you can bet new Bears coordinator Alan Williams, who followed him from Indianapolis, is strategically similar to his boss.

A surprise from Bears camp, where Teven Jenkins has joined the team on the practice field for the first time in a while.

Good to see some positive remarks in the early going of the Bears' training.

It's just one practice, but the early deployment of the new guys brings forth a sign of things to come.

After an offseason where - at times - a Robert Quinn trade was inevitable, the Bears' star pass-rusher is here to stay. For now.

This is where the fun begins.

The multipurpose back is in for the Chicago Bears in their new offense and three of those types of players comprise this section of the roster as the countdown to camp continues with players wearing jersey numbers 33 through 30.
