Cincinnati firefighters say they've seen an uptick in lithium-ion battery fires and are giving safety tips on keeping yourself and devices safe

It happened at 5840 Ridge Avenue in Pleasant Ridge.

Cincinnati Fire Department Assistant Chief Matt Flagler said Cincinnati police officer noticed smoke coming from the home and notified the fire department.

It broke out Wednesday night on Colerain Avenue, just north of Virginia Avenue in Northside.

Officials believe a construction crew working at the top of Carew Tower hit the side of the building with its scaffolding, knocking some of the loose bricks off.

A portion of I-75 was shut down for nearly an hour after a truck hauling a horse trailer caught fire.

Emergency crews responded to a structure fire in Northside on Monday night.

Two children who were rescued from a fire last week in Winton Hills have died, according to the Hamilton County Coroner's Office.

Three children were taken to the hospital, two of them with life-threatening injuries, following a fire early Thursday morning at an apartment complex in Winton Hills.

First responders say there is no harm to the general public.
