He says a social worker was inside of the warehouse just days before the fire to check on the children of the founder. Were they upstairs . Down stairs . The cps would not confirm nor deny such a visit. The man told us there was a fire inside of the building last week. We see flames and your heart just drops. As for fire inspections, abc 7 news learned regular inspections were not done for at least a decade. I dont have an answer to that. n last nights highway 4 shooting was the latest in what has been a series of bay area highway shootings in the past year. Most of those shootings happening in the east bay. Heres what we know about the cases. n saturdays highway 4 shooting is at least the third bay area freeway shooting of the year. It comes less than a month after a highway 242 shooting in concord that left a man hurt and a black mercedes riddled with bullets. And less than a month after an i80 shooting near carlson boulevard in richmond. Three shootings may sound like a high number but it certainly doesnt compare to what we saw last year. From novemeber of 2015 to the end of 2016 there were more than thirty bay area freeway shootings.
