RENSSELAER — A DeMotte woman was arrested in Rensselaer in March after she tried to kick out a police car window and attempted to bite officers.

An 8-year-old boy has died following a high-speed crash in Maine that his father and younger brother survived, according to the Rumford Police department.

The conditions of the three survivors, including both drivers, have been upgraded to stable, and they are expected to survive.

The 8-year-old son of Matthew Kellogg died shortly after a crash that injured Kellogg, his 5-year-old son and F. Michael Piveronas on Saturday.

The younger brother and father of an 8-year-old Massachusetts boy killed in a crash in Maine over the weekend are expected to survive, police say.

Three people, including a Massachusetts father and a second son, are being treated for life-threatening injuries, according to police.

All four involved in the crash were taken to the Rumford Hospital, where despite life-saving efforts on scene and at the hospital, the 8-year-old boy died from his injuries.

The child's father and his 5-year-old brother both suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash.

Rumford police said the crash happened Saturday on Route 2. Alcohol is suspected of being a contributing factor.
