Sherman ISD Superintendent Dr. Tyson Bennett had been suspended with pay since early March amid an investigation into the "Oklahoma!" production casting decision.

The annual Music on Main series returns in April with concerts scheduled in Spartanburg through July. Also, The Fretwell and FR8yard will have live shows.

The decision happened amid an investigation into a high production of “Oklahoma!” that started after a transgender student was initially removed from a role.

Shepard's mother, who says she witnessed numerous attempts to cancel the show in recent years, commented on the cancellation.
