But the auto club warns that Memorial Day weekend travel could drive prices upwards again. WAND-TV reports the fire broke out around 8:40 Sunday evening, and crews worked more than 12 hours to bring the blaze under control. One resident of the building had to be removed from the building and was taken to a hospital from treatment, but is expected to recover. Cut grass on the road can cause motorcycles and other vehicles to lose traction, creating a dangerous situation for them. The sheriff’s office notes that blowing grass clippings onto the roadway violates the Illinois Litter Control Act and can lead to fines or even a misdemeanor charge.
