Historic levels of hypocrisy here. they know darn well that if the shoe were on the other foot they would be taking a different position. now recently they actually did step up a little when it came to saudi arabia. the abuses there were so offensive and the coddling of mbs was so obnoxious that -- and the funding of the war in yemen which was killing so many people, that they finally did -- the senate finally did check trump a little bit on his ability to have a free hands there. maybe that wil...

Where we left off to see if we can make a deal. >> reporter: and there was another big meeting on the presidents schedule at the g20 in japan. and that was with the crown prince of saudi arabia mohammed bin salman. now, the major contention here is a lot of people accuse salman of orchestrating the murder of jamal khashoggi in turkey. that brutal murder was captured on tape by turkish officials. and president trump defended sitting down by mbs but raised the issue of khashoggis murder but he als...

Words, patrick, what does it tell snu. >> you? >> the saudi relationship is what the president cares about. he has been able to do that with germany, britain, france, mexico. yet, he is well to create the orbit of two with mbs of saudi arabia or kim jong-un of north korea. vladimir putin, of course, the most in russia. it is -- history will look back as the strangest aspect of the trump presidency. willingness to bring in dictators and bring in people who have been implicated in the case of mbs ...

Supporters to boo the press at his rallies. he has stood by mupd bin salman of saudi arabia despite his had obvious connection to the murder of saudi journalist and oppositionist jamal ca shoji. i think he has said this, for example, about kim jong-un of north korea that when he speaks, his people sit up and listen. he and his ambassador said about victor or bahn of hungary that donald trump would like to see an environment like this in the u.s. where the states werent fake news. >> ie anything ...

Thats how the republican party bewhaifs right now. all it takes is denial and that didnt happen. its a notion of meta physics that it didnt actually happen because he said it didnt happen. what reality is that, charlie? thats a weird new notion. >> well, this is what i think described as the annihilation of truth, that after a while the point of lies isnt necessarily to make you believe one thing or another, its to make you doubt the exi existence of truth or your ability to use your critical th...
