The Carson City community held its third annual Holiday Crawl Benefit 2017 on Saturday to raise money for the Holiday with a Hero campaign that gives local homeless children a chance to shop for themselves and family for Christmas. The downtown Carson City event was attended by more than 400 people, up about 100 from last year, organizers say.

Since the end of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Alice ISD has focused their efforts on those students experiencing homelessness in their district.

Oregon's second largest school district, Salem-Keizer Public Schools, is seeing more students experiencing homelessness.

Capitol FFA traveled to North Valleys High School Feb. 1 in order to compete in the Northern FFA Zone Competition. CHS Agriculture Mechanics, Welding, and FFA Adviser and teacher Rebecca Glocknitzer said, "I know all of our students worked hard to prepare for Zone, and Mr. Mann and I are so proud of their efforts."

Fifteen businesses and organizations took part in a campaign to collect gift cards, fast food cards, gas cards and more to help homeless students and their families in Beloit.

This year the district has identified about 900 unhoused students and expects that number to grow to 1500 students by the end of the school year.

For Day of Giving on Tuesday, the East Side Union High School District in San Jose is launching a fundraiser for unhoused students.
