FRONTLINE keyworkers caring for some of County Durham’s most vulnerable residents have started to get Covid-19 vaccines at a new dedicated centre. The facility has opened at County Hall, in Durham, to vaccinate frontline social care workers, including those employed by Durham County Council, the NHS and the independent sector. The centre will operate seven days a week, from 8am to 8pm, to ensure those working with elderly people and children and adults with complex needs are offered vaccines as quickly and efficiently as possible. It is anticipated up to 10,000 social care workers will be vaccinated at the centre over the next five weeks.
