COLUMBIA BASIN – More than 200 local athletes earned all-league honors during the fall sports season, ranging from honorable mentions to players of the year. Read along to see what awards athletes from all 12 local schools earned this fall sports season.
YAKIMA – No. 5 seed Lind-Ritzville/Sprague’s run in the 2B State Volleyball Tournament came to an end in the 2B title game, matching up against a talented No. 2 Manson team and falling 3-0 in the state’s final game of the season.
LRS finished the season 20-3, taking home a second-place trophy.
RITZVILLE – The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos remain unbeaten after Tuesday’s sweep of Reardan, using a strong start to the match to improve to 11-0 on the season.
“It’s always important to start off smooth,” LRS Head Coach Cari Galbreath said. “Get us rolling and get our game going.”
