Only a few towns in Bergen and Passaic counties will have contested elections during Tuesdays primary election.

Bergen County will have only six contested election races in the primary on June 6, while more than 30 municipalities will have noncontested races.

Doris Mahalick was the first woman member of Wallingtons Borough Council and helped pave the way for todays female leaders in Bergen County.

Hector Olmo is the third in the post since Witold "Vic" Baginski was removed in 2017, in a dispute over his alleged mishandling of gas purchases.
