Amid continued public calls for reforms and oversight at St. Charles County libraries, the County Council on Tuesday approved the appointment of a new library board trustee.

The challenge, said St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann, was finding someone who would have the conservative bonafides to appease the critics of the current library board.
