Danescastle wrens bring 'song, dance, music, and craic' to Wexford pubs as ancient tradition revived
One of the busiest days of the year for pub-goers was made that little bit livelier by the presence of ‘Wren Boys’ from Danescastle Music Group this St Stephen’s Day. Reviving a tradition which dates back centuries, the wrens travelled to pubs across south Wexford bedecked in straw hats and suitable attire as they played traditional music for patrons.
