Big Tech companies are cutting back on the number of staffers dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion, a significant change from the company's commitments nearly three years ago after George Floyd's death.

Meta offered laid off employees a baseline four months of severance pay, except for workers cut from a year long diversity program.

A group of Meta employees who were part of a corporate training program have claimed that they are receiving less favorable severance packages than other workers who were recently laid off.

Meta laid off around 11,000 employees in November.
