Just yesterday we wrote about a series of issues with apps in Windows 11. Users found that the Snipping Tools and various Windows settings did not work, something Microsoft has blamed on an expired certificate.

Microsoft just rolled out an update to the Release Preview and Beta channels that fixes an issue that prevents some built-in apps from opening on Windows 11.

Apps like the Snipping Tool, Touch Keyboard, Voice Typing, and Emoji Panel stopped opening on Nov 1 because Windows 11 has an expired digital certificate. Microsoft has provided a partial fix.

An issue on Windows 11 prevents the Snipping Tool, Touch Keyboard, and several other built-in applications from opening on some PCs.
