There were probably 15 or 20 people at the party, and i would say half of them developed symptoms or showed signs of being under the influence. The death of an 11yearold Contra Costa County boy. Tonight Oakland Police say the boy may have accidentally shot himself. Good evening. Im dan ashley. Im carolyn johnson. Carolyn and dan, one neighbor says he was surprised to hear that the family had a gun inside the house. Apparently they did and tonight around 7 00 an 11yearold boy who lives in this home picked up the gun and accidentally shot himself in the head. It happened somewhere in the house here in the town of oakley. Emergency crews radioed for a medical helicopter while they were working on the boy, but called it off just before it landed after the boy died in this ambulance. They say he lived here with his mother, father and grandmother, and they rarely associated with the rest of the neighborhood. He walked his dogs. I think his dogs name was baby. He was sweet.
