good evening, your safety could be in jeopardy if you rely on car services. abc 7 news learned limousines without permits are listed on the web site. abc 7 news is in the newsroom with the story only on abc 7 news tonight. on oakland airport s web site, youl see a link to taxies, shuttles and limos and phone numbers so you can book a ride to and from the airport. and that is where these limos are listed. transportation reviews.com alerted to us this problem. and we contacted the state public utilities commission, verified number, and names of the company autos what if i were to tell you that 13% of l limos here have no permits? my goodness. that is not right. rose is correct. it s not right what. we told her is true. 13% of the services listed on the oakland airport web site have no valid permits. 10 of the 80 companies have had permits revoked or denied by the state public utilities commission. the agency that regulates limousines. just yesterday, a multi agency stri
and a fairly decent day tomorrow, numbers mostly in the 50s. what is this we hear about rain on memorial day. it s a possibility. we ll have the forecast and details in a few minutes. this morning hundreds of people are going to continue their search for a man who disappeared while walking in bay to breakers. we ll get to that story in just a minute. first developing news from overnight, five people were left homeless after their home in san jose went up in flames. the house on timber view court caught fire at 4:30 this morning. everybody was able to get out safely. the san jose fire department took these pictures. there was smoke and water damage. no word on what caused that fire. back to the story i was just mentioning, hundreds of people are going to continue their search this morning for a man who disappeared after bay to breakers. 27-year-old beay rasmussen was last seen around noon on sunday. he said good-bye to friends and headed to ocean beach. lifeguards did not
it is very rural. it is. and for that reason, we don t expect a whole lot of damage. there are not a lot of people. what kinds of problems would this have caused in an urban area? he shaking is strong enough that poorly built structures would be damaged. but we don t expect a whole lot of damage. so which fault was this on? a deep quake? a shallow quake? and describe the number of aftershocks. it is a little early to relate this to a fault. it will take a little time to figure out whether this is occurring on a fault that we have studied in the past. the preliminary indications are that the depth was about 11- kilometers. we don t have stations right nearby, so i think with time and looking at records that number will get better and we will feel more confident. but there have been aftershocks in the area. yes, i m looking at a map right now that shows about i think 22 earthquakes bigger than magnitude two-and-a-half in the area since the main shock. thank you
