Tonight the death toll from the crash stands at 13, with 31 others injured. The chp says the bus driver is among those who were killed. The collision happened early this morning on interstate 10 near palm springs. The bus was traveling towards los angeles from a casino and was an hour into the trip. Many of those killed were sitting towards the front of the bus, asleep when the crash happened. The Highway Patrol says the bus slammed into a big rig trailer that was traveling much slower. The force was so violent the front end of the bus became enveloped in the truck. When it hit the back of the big rig, the trailer, the trailer itself entered about 15 feet into the bus.
