The sentence for Shaun Lindsey, a former senior administrative technician with the department, is roughly half what her ex-boss received last week for his role in the three-year scheme that defrauded the city of over $600,000 in contracts.

A former senior manager at the Richmond Department of Public Works was sentenced Tuesday for defrauding the city by steering governmental contracts toward himself and his wife, the U.S. Attorneys

The former senior manager pled guilty in July to defrauding the city of over $600,000 in contracts. His wife also was sentenced Tuesday, while a second co-conspirator is to be sentenced next week.

A former senior manager with Richmond’s public works department will serve more than two years in prison for his role in a yearslong scheme that defrauded the city.

A third guilty plea, from the wife of one of the former senior officials, was also announced this month by federal prosecutors, who allege the group conspired to defraud the city of over $600,000 in department contracts.
