An architectural and engineering design looking into the feasibility of accommodating new office space within the Warden’s House will cost up to $50,000.
In its report asking to proceed with the work, administration said the ongoing pandemic has resulted in the need for additional office space. Although council approved the request from administration to move to the design phase, several members had harsh words for the aging building some of them categorizing it as a money pit.

SDG council was presented with various ways in which two intersections deemed dangerous by administration could be made safer.
Both intersections located at County Road 1 and Gilmour Road in South Dundas, as well as County Road 19 and County Road 27 in South Glengarry have seen several collisions over the past few years. SDG staff members presented two intersection safety reviews to council on Monday.

In 2020 alone, the first intersection recorded two nighttime collisions. Previous collisions were attributed to weather conditions as well as driver error, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
