Wichita school district voters opt to change the way board members are elected
By a margin of about 2-to-1, Wichita school district voters opted to ditch the current hybrid voting system, which has been in place since 1994. Beginning next year, Wichita school board members will be elected in a fashion similar to city, county and state representatives.
