On Wednesday, The Washington Post finally removed a racist editorial cartoon that showed a Hamas leader using civilians as human shields. It shouldn’t have been published in the first place considering how distasteful and downright inhumane it is to Palestinians.

Editorial Page Editor David Shipley said he “missed something profound, and divisive.”

The Washington Post killed a cartoon about Hamas because it was called racist.

A political cartoon titled Human Shields, which depicted a Hamas terrorist strapped to women and children questioning civilian deaths caused by Israel, was removed after backlash from readers.

The Washington Post reportedly took down a cartoon late Wednesday, originally published on Nov. 8, that criticized Hamas.

The drawing by conservative cartoonist Michael Ramirez was widely criticized as “racist” and “orientalist.”

"When the truth is dehumanizing, it’s still the truth. That Hamas hides behind Gaza’s civilians is an established fact."
