Tweet? is anybody filling him in on what this stuff is? i mean, are they using -- does this only underscore what michael wolfs book laid out, that the president doesnt understand policy, doesnt care to know policy and isnt fit for the job? isnt this part of the problem that that book underscored? >> thats right. and i think theyre less waiting for him to tweet as much as theyre kind of desperately hoping he wont tweet against all odds. what you saw is the president in many ways especially on iss...

Private prisons. well find out what comes out of this meeting a little bit later. michael, one last question to you. the president also tweeted about a quinnipiac poll talking about the economy, 66% of the country feels that the economy is excellent or good. but if you look at the poll itself -- and i wonder if the president saw the rest of this poll because im not sure he would have tweeted it. they ask about donald trumps character, 66% say he doesnt share their values, 63% say hes not honest,...

Started our set of meetings to talk about all the domestic policy agenda, we were in a meeting for over three and a half hours straight in the president was directly engaged in those conversations, had a lot of really good ideas. he wants to build on the success of what we are seeing from this tax cut bill where every day, just today announcing more benefits to their employees. every day we see another company announcing how what we did, but we worked with president trump to pass is actually hel...

You mentioned michael wolf, the charges included in that, about the presidents capacity, mentally, to handle the job. it certainly seemed to satisfy that particular argument, to show that the president was capable, quite capable of handling a contentious meeting with 22 members of congress. and lifted the veil to give us a look behind the curtain. very, very rare glimpse behind the curtain. to see how the legislative sausage is made. apparently the meeting acording to members of congress that i ...

Of jeb bush. the president announcing the president will be going for the economics summit of the wealthiest of the wealthy. step back, this is not necessarily the principles that donald trump ran on in his campaign. you have seen an colter tweet about some of this. there is a question of what happens out of donald trumps base given what has just happened. obviously nothing right away. it is too soon to draw conclusions. if you look at the days events as they have unfolded and where donald trump...

Nt so the two of them had had their ups and downs of their relationship, although they did talk after bannon left the white house, and they were in contact during the alabama election and of course the roy moore debate. but this was the straw that broke the camels back for the president. but i think they will never speak again. >> i bannon is proven correct and the things that he says to michael wolf in fire and fury about, i think he calls them jarvonka. >> you put an r in there. >> the things ...

Trump administration from michael wolfs controversial book "fire and fury." earlier wolf sat down with my colleague andrea mitchell and talked about a white house thats struggling to get information to the commander in chief. >> not only does he not read, and this is at a level, certainly we have never seen before in the white house. of someone who just wont consume written information, language, doesnt want it. but thats not the only problem. the other problem is that he doesnt listen. >> now a...

>> you wrote there will be much speculation about what the trump-bannon falling out means for trumps base, the answer is nothing, trumps base is trumps. no one ever voted for steve bannon. this is interesting because while trumps base is trump, its almost like steve bannon gave him a path to that base when his candidacy was faltering. >> i do think when bannon and kellyanne conway and bocame in, stablized trump in some way. but i do think his role has been exaggerated especially as much as i can...

Country? how much of it was about portraying the president of the united states in a light that runs counter to the light that we have been talking about over the past week or so? >> i think that the president did more in that hour-long meeting in the cabinet room to push back on the narrative of the michael wolf book than any people talking about it in the past week have done. he basically proved to anybody with doubt that he is vigorous, engaged and eager for a bipartisan deal and capable of d...

I saw the speech. lets come together and say times up. >> a reminder we are expecting to see sarah huckabee sanders take the podium in a few minutes and one line of questioning she will likely not be able to avoid. this week the administration is struggling to put a lid on the story. the catalyst claims in that controversial book fire and fury where arthur michael wolf addresses the topic. he addressed the topic again in an interview with andrea mitchell earlier today. >> talk a lot in the book ...
