Microsoft Data Centre: "Microsoft has big plans to expand its data centre business and will be developing one of the biggest data centres in the region. Microsoft: The property was purchased from the land aggregator, Sai Balaji Developers, located in Ranga Reddy district, as per the document shared by Propstack, a data analytics firm.

Data centres, once considered a very alternative asset class that was overshadowed by demand for general warehouses are now keenly sought by investors as strong occupier demand keeps vacancy rates at record lows.

Microsoft will make the investment over a period of 15 years into the new data centre region spread across three sites - Chandanvelly, Ellikatta, and Kottur.

The other three facilities of Microsoft are located in Pune, Mumbai, and Chennai

Microsoft explained that according to study done by research firm IDC, Microsoft data centres in India contributed $9.5 billion revenue to the economy between 2016 and 2020.
