The European Commission has initiated an antitrust probe into Microsoft to determine if it bundled its Teams video and chat app with some of its other products.
Cloud Infrastructure Services Providers in Europe (CISPE), whose members include Amazon, alleged last November that Microsoft's new contractual terms imposed on Oct. 1 together with other practices were harming the European cloud computing ecosystem.
The latest draft could fragment the EU single market as each country has full discretion to impose the requirements whenever it sees fit, an industry source said.
