thunderstorms that went through minnesota. right now, it s marching through portions of wisconsin, on into michigan and down through, as you can see, portions of illinois. also some widely scattered showers and thunderstorms overnight throughout the deep south. but things have dried out. currently, it s 80 in dallas. we got 70 in raleigh and 60 in caribou, maine. later on on this friday, it s going to be a hot one with temperatures in the 90 s approaching 100 throughout much of texas. mid 90 s in the mid plains. and 90 today in raleigh as well. out in los angeles today, they re going to celebrate with 66 degrees and brian, why would they be celebrating? because the lakers won and i just covered game seven. lakers and celtics clash in an epic game in the seventh game. after the big blowout by the lakers over the celtics in game six, i got the sense that game seven would go the same direction. not so fast. it was all defense early on. the celtics would jump out to a lead and hold it. t
not had any storms yet, but this system out here looking pretty interesting, potentially becoming our first named storm. it would be alex if that s the case and then we ll watch that one to see if it potentially has impacts for the u.s. what we have across the u.s. right now is very heavy rainfall across the area of kansas and into nebraska once again. this will be with us all day long, again, tomorrow and that means a threat there for flooding is pretty real as well. across the east coast, scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day today. nobody s day is going to be a complete washout, but you might have to dodge a few of the storms. over the next two days, this is about how much rain we re going to see, in some cases three to four inches and where we ll see the flooding. areas of kansas stretching into iowa and rain into the chicago area as well. the other story is really warm temperatures, we have the first kind of big heatwave going on across areas. south and the worst
