not had any storms yet, but this system out here looking pretty interesting, potentially becoming our first named storm. it would be alex if that's the case and then we'll watch that one to see if it potentially has impacts for the u.s. what we have across the u.s. right now is very heavy rainfall across the area of kansas and into nebraska once again. this will be with us all day long, again, tomorrow and that means a threat there for flooding is pretty real as well. across the east coast, scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day today. nobody's day is going to be a complete washout, but you might have to dodge a few of the storms. over the next two days, this is about how much rain we're going to see, in some cases three to four inches and where we'll see the flooding. areas of kansas stretching into iowa and rain into the chicago area as well. the other story is really warm temperatures, we have the first kind of big heatwave going on across areas. south and the worst is around new orleans towards memphis with temps into the mid 90's, extremely humid and so we're going to be talking about a feels like temperature.
