The Special Military Taskforce in charge of maintaining peace in Plateau state on Wednesday said its troops raided some mountains in the Mangu Local Government Area of the state and uncovered a weapon factory in the area.

It was learnt that the night attack which resulted in the death of the villagers occurred in the Lisham Kwahasnat community, situated between Mangu and Bokkos Local Government Areas of the state.

The Plateau State Governor, Caleb  Mutfwang, on Monday mourned the death of four persons from renewed attacks on some communities by gunmen in the state

Gunmen have reportedly attacked two communities in Plateau State, killing seven persons.
