A new cannabis dispensary is open near the Greenhaven Pocket area, bringing more diversity to a multibillion-dollar industry, historically led by white owners.

Sacramento County could soon see its first marijuana dispensaries open in unincorporated areas, as officials are set to vote on a tax initiative.

Supporters are urging Gov. Gavin Newsom and legislative leaders to cut their taxes in order to help keep their businesses open.
