Platinum group metals miner Impala Platinum (Implats) has concluded agreements to acquire a further 591 071 shares in Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat).  That represents about 0.20% of RBPlat's shares in issue and takes Implats' overall shareholding in RBPlat to 55.73%.

Fruitful discussions are taking place on flow-through shares to incentivise junior mining and exploration, Minerals Council South Africa’s Junior and Emerging Miners Desk head Grant Mitchell said on Thursday. In response to Mining Weekly, Mitchell said the Minerals Council was doing a lot of work to facilitate engagements between the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and its junior, emerging and exploration members and associations.

JSE-listed poultry producer Astral Foods has announced that its ordinary shares will be traded on A2X with effect from June 7. The company will retain its primary listing on the JSE and its issued share capital will be unaffected by the secondary listing on A2X.
