Plans have been revealed to permanently close a Nottinghamshire children’s home a year after its doors were temporarily shut.

Minster View, Southwell, is currently closed amid concerns over the quality of care provided to children with complex needs and learning disabilities.

A mum said she was heartbroken as her son was offered a fully-residential place in Leicestershire, having spent the last ten years at Minster View.

Car fire in York village FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a car fire in a York village. North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say that at about 8:44am yesterday they were called to Minster View in Wiggington after reports of a car on fire.
