Misbehavior Reports News Today

A leading statewide advocate is calling for reform after a recent NYS Inspector General report found Black and Hispanic individuals are more likely to face disciplinary action than others incarcerated in New York State. And he says inmate frustration at Attica Correctional Facility is at an all time high.

The Inspector General found disparities have worsened since 2017. The root causes for the disparities, however, remains unclear.

The New York State Inspector General's office looked into the disparities in how Black and Brown inmates are disciplined compared to White inmates.
