Missing Matoaka: The True Story of Pocahontas is a project by Indigenous artists that aims to correct falsehoods and stereotypes in Disney's animated movie Pocahontas. The audio production, released this week for National Indigenous Peoples Day, is designed to be played alongside the Disney film. Ojibwe screenwriter Lauren DeLeary, scriptwriter for Missing Matoaka, tells us about the project and what it's meant to work on it.
