Fertuck closed his case on Wednesday in Saskatoon Court of Kings Bench after confirming he would be calling no further witnesses.

Fertuck, who is self-representing, questioned Morris Bodnar at his first-degree murder trial, which resumed on Tuesday in Saskatoon.

Greg Fertuck, who now represents himself, argued his lawyers didnt ask a ballistics expert and his former spouse the right questions.

Fertuck, who is self-representing, made the application on Friday, when a decision on the global voir dire at his murder trial was scheduled.

The defence application could cause further delay, "even though the Court had been prepared to meet the original deadline."

Justice Richard Danyliuk expects to decide on April 28 if statements Fertuck made during a Mr. Big sting will be admissible.

Despite being advised about the benefits of a lawyer, Fertuck said he is an "innocent victim" and wants to represent himself.
