Premier Blaine Higgs approached a group of about 50 people protesting outside a Progressive Conservative Party fundraising event to defend his government's decision to make changes to an Education Department policy on gender identity in schools.

Mitchell Goodine, known also by his stage name of Amour Love, will be hosting a drag show at the Arthurette Royal Canadian Legion. Originally from the area in northwestern New Brunswick, he left 15 years ago after enduring conversion therapy.
