Growing up in West Cork, Pascal Ungerer did not “really register that our dad was a famous artist”. Author and illustrator of 140 books, Strasbourg-born Tomi Ungerer, settled in a remote farm on Mizen Head where Pascal Ungerer and his siblings “were protected” from famous-father syndrome. “Our parents kept a pretty low profile” but “Tomi was an extraordinary person and artist and I’m really proud of my dad’s work and legacy”.

The plan builds on a number of existing destination development projects including improved facilities for walking, hiking, and water activities.
